Many of these artists are not well known and if you have any information about the lesser known ones (marked *) I'd be delighted to hear - just post a comment and I'll get back to you. I'm interested to know the whereabouts of any works by them, especially work in private hands.

Thank you very much for providing this information about the exhibition, almost invisible in internet. Great thanks from Spain
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment Laura.
ReplyDeleteI'm very pleased you are interested. My aim is to spread the word about the exhibition and the artists, so many of them are quite forgotten, which is the fate of most women and it is not right!
Hi, Sue.
ReplyDeleteI have a book that I've read in the last months of one of the artists. It is in spanish:
"Baronesa dandy, reina dadá. La vida-obra de Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven" by Gloria G. Durán.
It is a kind of biography of Elsa von Freytag-Loringhoven and explains the surrealism context of that years. Also citates works about Djuna Barnes.
If you want more information about the book and you couldn't find it on Internet, send me an email to this adress: martaranna@gmail.com
Finally, I would say you lots of thanks for the information of your blog. I'm a History of Art student and a lover of surrealism art so reading this is such a rewarding thing !
